According to KTLA, a Tesla crashed into a beauty supply store in Newport Beach and injured a woman in a pedestrian accident on Monday, July 23, 2018.
The pedestrian accident involving a Tesla occurred around 9:45 a.m., near the 3600 block of Jamboree Road, when the driver of the Tesla was attempting to park the vehicle, and struck a woman standing in front of the vehicle.
After the initial impact, the driver slammed into a Planet Beauty store, causing serious damage to the store.
The victim, identified as a woman, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Investigators determined that the Tesla was not in autopilot at the time of the pedestrian accident.
