MAN KILLED IN SUSPECTED DUI CRASH IN RIVERSIDE

According to ABC 7, one person was killed in a suspected DUI crash involving multiple cars in Riverside on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Alessandro Boulevard and Meridian Parkway around 4:33 p.m.

According to officials, 38-year-old Anthony Lopez was driving a silver BMW at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle and smashed into the back of a Nissan sedan, which was driven by a 62-year-old man.

The crash involved five other vehicles, totaling seven cars involved in the crash.

The 62-year-old driver of the Nissan sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified due to pending family notification.

Lopez was suspected to be under the influence during the time of the crash and was arrested.
