According to ABC 7, a 6-year-old girl was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver in Fullerton on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported around 2:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of Lombard Street, when a suspected DUI driver lost control of his vehicle and struck the victim, identified as Grace Aguilar, who was playing on the sidewalk.
The DUI driver, identified as 50-year-old Maximino Delgado, was driving a 1990 Toyota 4Runner when he struck Aguilar. Aguilar sustained critical injuries and was transported to the hospital, where she later died.
Delgado remained at the scene of the pedestrian accident and was tested, which determined that he was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.23 percent.
According to the report, Delgado was arrested for vehicular manslaughter, felony DUI, and driving with a suspended license. Authorities also determined that Delgado had a previous DUI on his record from 2015.
