75-YEAR-OLD MOTORCYCLIST STRUCK AND KILLED ON TOLL ROAD IN IRVINE

According to the OC Register, a 75-year-old motorcyclist was struck and killed by a truck on a toll road in Irvine on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. The tragic incident took place on the SR-133 toll road at about 3:17 p.m. The motorcyclist, identified as Mark Miller of Garden Grove was riding in front of the truck when he was struck. Miller was riding a Honda Silver Wing at about 60 mph and the Ford F-150 was behind him driving at about 70 mph when the truck hit the motorcycle. Unfortunately, Miller was thrown onto the highway and suffered from serious injuries. Miller was taken to Orange County Global Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
